Lilac Keen3 Strap (Strap Only) Preorder

We estimate January 2027.

The detection technology is improved, and continues to improve, with Keen3!

CoreBFRB was a huge innovation that we are continuing to refine the algorithms in Keen3. You can learn more about our research here.

Keen3 doesn’t have new sensors, and on day one its detection will be similar to upgraded Keen2s that have CoreBFRB. Keen3 is still designed for above-the-shoulders behaviors, where hands reach for your hair, skin, or mouth. Where it pulls ahead is over time. We’re using what we learned from our recently published open trial to keep improving the algorithm, and those updates are Keen3-only.

We've also made it a lot easier in the app to fine-tune things if your behavior doesn’t quite fit our presets, because everyone is unique and performs behaviors differently. Part of Keen3's improvement comes from making sure that the settings are easy to understand, and harder to accidentally set in a way that increases false alarms. If accuracy is your main reason to upgrade, know Keen3 is more user-friendly, and accuracy will continue to improve.

When creating Keen3, we referenced the research we've done so far with both NIH and NSF, as well as our ongoing study with NIH. In the pilot trial of our ongoing study, the HabitAware Methodology was associated with significant reductions in hair-pulling severity and impairment. AND 100% of participants said they'd recommend it.

The approach is grounded in existing evidence-based cognitive-behavioral approaches to managing BFRBs.

Keen3 Pro refers to features only accessible through a Keen3 Pro subscription.

You receive a year of free access when you purchase Keen3. Your year starts when you sync the band to the app. There is no bonus year for syncing two Keen3s at the same time.

You will receive several emails a week before your subscription renews, giving you time to decide if you'd like to continue!
