  • Meet HabitAware

Created from personal need, HabitAware seeks to create solutions for the underserved body-focused repetitive behavior community. One of the primary resources we provide is the Keen2 smart bracelet, designed specifically to help manage BFRBs.

There is hope for your trichotillomania (hair pulling), dermatillomania (skin picking), and onychophagia (nail biting).

Bald spots, open wounds, and bitten-down nailbeds don't have to be such an issue with our buzzing bracelet. Keen2 gives YOU awareness to take on your BFRB on your own time.

FAQ

What behaviors do Keen2 bracelets detect?

Keen2 is designed for:

  • Hair pulling from the scalp, chin, eyelashes, and eyebrows.
  • Skin picking on the scalp and face.
  • Nail biting
  • And other behaviors, as long as the behavior involves the hand above the shoulders. (Nose picking, eye mucus fishing, and reaching a finger in your ear could be some examples)

To improve accuracy with any trained behavior, Keen2 has easily adjustable settings. We offer free training calls to help you get it set up as accurately as possible.

Will "Keen" awareness stop me?

Keen2 does not physically move your hand away from your face. The vibration builds awareness of your hand so that you can learn your patterns to choose the right self-soothing strategies in the moment.

Will Keen2 shock me?

Keen2 will not shock you. Its vibration is gentle and quiet. At HabitAware, we don't believe that punishment is an effective tool for growth. Read more about it in our blog post: "'I wish Keen shocked me.' Well, here's why it doesn't."
