"Watch Party" Details

What is a Watch Party?

A "Watch Party" is an in person gathering for local community to come together for The Great BFRB Get-Together! These events are hosted by local volunteers. Think of it like going to a friends house to watch the Super Bowl: one screen, good folks, tasty bites, and healing content!

Where are Watch Parties held?

The Great BFRB Get-Together can be viewed in community in a few cities across the US! These include Atlanta, Eugene, New York City, and St. Louis. The exact address will be sent to ticket holders ahead of the event.

Atlanta, GA

The Atlanta, GA Watch Party is hosted by local volunteers, Dr. Chris Noble and Jen Powell at Anxiety Specialists of Atlanta.

Eugene, OR

The Eugene, OR Watch Party is hosted by local volunteer, Sarah Drews. Sarah has been an active part of the BFRB community since her first trichotillomania retreat in 2012. She experiences multiple BFRBs and is open about how her Autism shapes the way she understands and relates to them. She’s been running BFRB Eugene, an in-person support group in Eugene, OR, and is the owner of Guided Ability, a support agency helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities access their community and achieve their goals.Outside of work, Sarah enjoys weightlifting, dancing, and creating art with crochet and clay. An avid Star Wars fan, she loves attending Comic-Cons and other fan events with her husband.

Manhattan, NY

NYC hosts include Aneela Idnani from HabitAware and the NYC BFRB Support Group, including leader Sam A.

The St. Louis, MO Watch Party is hosted by Laura Chackes and the Center for Mindfulness & CBT.

Are you a Treatment Professional? You should come too!

  • You will learn about body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) like skin picking and hair pulling from both the perspective of mental health experts and those who live with the disorders.
  • You can receive 7 CEUs via the Missouri Credentialing Board (MCB), with option to request credentialing in your state.
  • You will have on-going access to session recordings.
